To our valued clients:
We want to share with you some of the adjustments that we’ve had to make to our salon operations. This is for the safety of you, our staff and community, and to comply with the requirements of the Public Heath Office. We’ve made many internal changes to our salon procedures but we wanted to share the ones that will affect you at your visit.
Please take your temperature just before your appointment. If you have a fever, please call us to cancel. We will also ask few questions before you check in. If you have symptoms of Covid-19, cold, flu, and if you had contact with someone who had been quarantined or suspected of Covid 19, we can not take your appointment. Also, if you were outside of BC for the last 14 days, please make your appointment after 14 days.
Please let us know ahead of time if you are changing style, color etc.…
To minimize contact time, if you are changing style or color, let us know before hand (email to email@example.com). Searching through pictures at the station might go over your appointment time and worst case, we will not be able to serve you. Because we are being told to restrict the amount of time a client is physically in the salon, the consultations we used to do are off for now.
Please wash your hair before you come
We ask you to wash your hair at home and come. if you can not, we can wash your hair but it will be a quick shampoo, no massage, no hot towel.
We cannot do complimentary service
For the time being, we cannot offer hand massage, lipstick touch up, head massage, or men’s mini facial. We are hoping this is temporary.
Please be on time for your appointment
If you are more than 5 minutes late, we may not be able to serve you.
Please come alone to your appointment. We will not accommodate extra family members, children or friends. If they come with you, they will need to wait outside. No handshakes or hugs for us at this time either please! ☹
All guests will be required to wear a mask that hooks behind the ears (all staff members will be required to wear masks as well). We will do our best to apply your hair color without getting it on your mask. It would be best to use a disposable mask if you are concerned about hair color stains. If you do not have a mask, you may purchase one from us for $5. We have chosen that price point because we want you to bring your own mask. Our team needs to be masked the entire time we are there and we cannot afford to run out.
When you arrive at the salon, please wait outside or in your car. We will call you to come in (or wave at you). This will eliminate extra people in the salon at one time and allow us to clean the styling stations between clients. When you come in, we'll ask that you use the hand sanitizer at the front desk.
Upon entering the salon, you’ll go right to the styling chair with the stylist. Please hang up your jacket and belongings yourself.
We will NOT be having you change into gowns. Please wear an older T-shirt or something that has a lower neckline. We will be using styling capes as usual (which are always washed in between uses).
Guests will be seated at every other station and 2m apart. For the time being, there is no waiting area or magazines like in the before times.
We cannot offer beverages at this time, please bring your own water with you.
Retail only sales, please let us know through email or phone call and place your order ahead of time. We will have your order ready for you and you can pick it up (prepaid by e transfer).
We will not be booking future appointments inside the salon. This is to shorten the amount of time you’re spending in the building and eliminate the number of staff we need to have working. We will note
your future appointment day and time preferences and call or email you in a timely fashion to book your next service, or we can take your appointment in the chair during service.
If you are sick, having symptoms of cold, flu, or Covid19, please do not come to the salon. Please let us know at 604-734-5262. We will waive the 48-hour cancelation fee due to illness, but no shows will be charged in full. Rescheduling before 48 hours is acceptable, but after that time with no reason, we will charge in full also. Please be mindful when you make an appointment that cancelling or rescheduling will disrupt our business much more than it would in the before times. If your service is more than 1 hour booking time, we will require your credit card information.
We are temporarily suspending any discounts – student discounts, etc. – for time being.
We will be adding a Covid 19 fee of $3.50 to your bill and we will be raising our prices as of May 19. We will be raising service price for 5-10%. The measures we are having to take to reopen are both increasing our operating costs and reducing the volume of clients we are able to see in a day. We strive to keep our prices competitive but at this point we are not able to stay in business at our “before times” prices. We thank you for your understanding.
Please know how very important providing excellent service is to us! These new measures we are taking are temporary until we can get back to the full level of service we would like to provide. We hope that will be sooner than later!
We sincerely appreciate your support. This situation has certainly brought on some challenges, but we are determined to rise to the occasion with a positive attitude and high level of professionalism.
We ask that you please be patient with us as we make the necessary adjustments.
